Replies in threads in the stream chat

You can now reply to a message in the stream chat: the reply is collected in a thread under the original message. Threads are on in every stream, work in the embedded chat and on phones, and are saved in the recording. The guide covers how to reply and expand a thread, what happens when messages are deleted, and how threads work with premoderation, slow mode, and other chat settings. Speak webhooks

Webhooks now report on Speak meetings: a call starting and ending (speak.call.started, speak.call.finished), participants joining and leaving (speak.participant.joined, speak.participant.left), and recording starting and stopping (speak.record.started, speak.record.finished). Original video storage

Privacy and unique codes in the live events API

POST /v2/live/events and PUT /v2/live/events/{event_id} now accept privacy settings: who can watch (privacy_share — password, private link, or SSO), where the player can be embedded (privacy_type, privacy_domains), access by email domain (privacy_email_domains), and access by unique codes (unique_codes_enabled). These fields are returned in responses. New /v2/live/events/{event_id}/unique-codes methods let you create a batch of codes, list batches, download codes as CSV, and delete a batch. → Create event

Live event online viewers in the analytics API

The API reference now includes GET /v1/analytics/events/{event_id}/online: the concurrent-viewers timeline for an event stream. stream_id is optional — without it the API uses the event’s current stream. from/to are also optional and default to the stream duration. → Event online viewers

Analytics API methods: detailed reference

GET /v1/analytics/overview and GET /v1/analytics now come with query parameters, fields, and response examples. Overview returns totals for the period, a timeline breakdown, and top lists by OS, device, browser, country, and city — for the whole workspace or a single video. Video heatmap and referrers in the analytics API

The API reference now includes two per-video methods. GET /v1/analytics/video/{video_id}/heatmap returns the engagement heatmap — the share of viewers who watched each second of the video. GET /v1/analytics/video/{video_id}/referrer lists the pages that sent viewers to the video, with views and player loads for each; you can download the report as CSV or XLSX. → Video heatmap, Video referrers

Zoom streaming setup: updated instructions

Added a new Health Monitor article to the Live Streams section. It covers real-time QoS metric monitoring during a broadcast (video and audio bitrate, FPS, packet loss, streamer IP, RTMP server) and access to historical data after the stream ends. Data is stored indefinitely. → Health Monitor
