Embedding on WordPress

The Kinescope plugin for WordPress lets you add a video player to pages and posts using a shortcode or widget. The plugin supports all Kinescope features, including content protection, player customization, and analytics.

Installing the plugin

  1. Go to the WordPress admin panel.
  2. In the left menu, select “Plugins”“Add New”.
  3. In the search bar, enter “Kinescope”.
  4. Click “Install”, then “Activate”.

Or download the plugin and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Using the plugin

After installing the plugin, you’ll be able to add video. This can be done in several ways: via an embed element or using the page editor.

  1. Integrate the player via an embed element.
  2. Specify the video link.

If you use a page editor such as Elementor or Bricks, a Kinescope icon will be available there. Specify the video link.

DRM encryption — video protection against unauthorized downloading — requires an active SSL certificate on your site.
